9 YEARS "TEMPO90" meets 3 YEARS "SAVE THE ROBOTS"


On Saturday January 23rd 2010 two relevant club events in Trier are going to celebrate their anniversary in one single place: The Drum`n`Bass figureheads of "TEMPO90" are turning nine and the Techno experts of the Psycho Thrill brand "SAVE THE ROBOTS" are celebrating their 3rd year of existence in Trier. For each one, top-class line ups will be responsible for the first highlight within the night life of the Moselle city in the year 2010.

Am Samstag den 23. Januar 2010 feiern gleich zwei einschlägig bekannte Trierer Clubformate in gemeinsamer Location ihre Jubiläen:  Die Drum&Bass-Matadoren „TEMPO90" werden Neun und die Techno-Experten des Psycho Thrill Clubbrands „SAVE THE ROBOTS" feiern ihr dreijähriges Trierer Bestehen. Jeweils hochkarätige Line-Ups setzen dabei ein erstes Glanzlicht für das Nachtleben der Mosel-Metropole im neuen Jahr 2010.

"Tempo90" will be bringing the internationally well-known DJ JOHN B to Trier in celebration of their 9th anniversary. John B, who was voted to be the best Drum`n`Bass DJ of 2009 by the British "DJ" magazine, has played himself to the top through his unique style: His array of Drum&Bass, Electro and 80s sounds sets the right tone for clubbers around the Globe. After appearances in cities like Sydney, St. Petersburg, New York or Bangkok, the legend will now come to Trier.

Hierzu bringen  „tempo90" anlässlich ihres neunten Geburtstag den international renommierten DJ JOHN B nach Trier. Der vom britischen „DJ"-MAGAZIN zum besten Drum&Bass-DJ 2009 gewählte John B hat sich mit seinem eigenen Stil an die Spitze gespielt: Seine Kombination von Drum&Bass, Electro und 80s-Sound trifft den Nerv von Clubbern rund um den Globus. Nach Auftritten in Metropolen wie Sidney, St.Petersburg, New York oder Bangkok kommt die Legende nun nach Trier.


Speaking of "SAVE THE ROBOTS" it has to be pointed out that all lovers of Detroit Techno and related minimalistic sounds have been gathering for 3 years now at this club night in Trier. With HEIB [Kompakt, Gigolo], CLAUS BACHOR [Psycho Thrill, SKY`s ABLAZE Rec.] and CARSTEN RAUSCH [Authentic Music, Vivid, Acker] a high-quality line up of German`s sought after DJs will be at the decks. 

Und zu „SAVE THE ROBOTS" sei an dieser Stelle nur soviel bemerkt, dass sich um diese Trierer Clubnacht nun schon seit bereits 3 Jahren alle Liebhaber von Detroit-Techno und verwandten minimalistischen Sounds sammeln. Mit HEIB [Kompakt, Gigolo], CLAUS BACHOR [Psycho Thrill, SKY`s ABlaze Rec.] und CARSTEN RAUSCH [Authentic Music, Vivid, Acker] steht zur Geburtstagsparty wieder mal ein hochkarätiges Line-Up aus deutschlandweit gefragten DJs an den Decks.

JOHN B is an original, an entertainer, an icon. He has made it to the top and is one of the exceptions in the electronic music scene. His combination of Drum&Bass and Electro made him famous around the World. Just recently, he was voted to be the best Drum&Bass DJ in 2009 by the British "DJ" magazine. The long list of his releases accounts for tracks on dominant labels of the scene, such as Prototype, Formation or Metalheadz. With Beta Recordings he founded his own label in 1999 followed by the three sub labels Nu Electro, Tangent and Chihuahua. Producer John B is depicting is unique style as "Electrostep": By these means he is bridging Electro, 80s Synthesizer-Pop and Drum&Bass. Be it Soft Cell, Depeche Mode, Bloc Party or Nine Inch Nails- he remixes anything that he gets a hold of. Before pursuing his career in Drum&Bass, John B was producing Techno. This has been influencing his productions until today and he is also interspersing Electro House into his DJ sets too. John B owes his popularity also to an early reliance on the Internet: He is blogging and twittering and is recording his tour life with more than 15,000 pictures on Flickr. Each one of his podcasts is being downloaded over 100,000 times- they are guaranteeing great DJ sets. Each year, he brings packed clubs and halls to the boil around the Globe during his more than 130 shows. Either in front of 20,000 Ravers in St. Petersburg or at exclusive clubs in Miami – John B always knows how to bring euphoria to his audience. After appearances in cities like Sydney, Moscow, New York or Bangkok, the legend is now coming to Trier.

Almost exactly 9 years earlier, on January 20th 2001, the first „Tempo90"-event drew 400 party people to the boonies. This fantastic debut resulted in an institution for Trier with a club sound that is not very well represented in this area: Drum&Bass. Over the years, Tempo90 have managed to gain new audiences again and again by means of well-frequented events in different locations and through an always open, unpretentious atmosphere. Together with quite a few national and international guests, the core crew around Myom, Semuta and Flextronic continue to ensure smiling faces on the dance floor. Myom of Tempo90: "John B in Trier – this is our wish come true to bring real top-notch to Trier once again. As his election for being the No.1 Drum&Bass DJ in 2009 has proved, there is currently nobody being able to hold a candle to him. Of course it is a risk for a promoter to spark people for a booking, which has not yet been handed around German press. But this has been the hard-line philosophy of "Tempo90" since 9 years: Music is in the focus. And it is best to play this on the sound system at Exil. An initial experience of prime club music will be your reward."   


Fast exakt 9 Jahre zuvor, am 20.01.2001, lockte die erste „tempo90"-Party 400 Feierwütige ins Exil. Aus diesem grandiosen Debut erwuchs eine Institution in Trier für einen ansonsten in der Region kaum repräsentierten Clubsound:  Drum&Bass. Mit stets gut besuchten Veranstaltungen in wechselnden Locations hat sich tempo90 nicht zuletzt über die immer offene und unprätentiöse Atmosphäre über die Jahre immer wieder ein neues Publikum erschlossen. Neben einer Reihe nationaler und internationaler Gäste sorgt die Stammmannschaft um MYOM, SEMUTA und FLEXTRONIC immer wieder für strahlende Gesichter auf dem Tanzboden. After acquiring a regular crowd over the years at “DOWN-UNDER” clubs and through pushing forward continuously, a high-class line up is going to appear at the EXHAUS during this anniversary:

JOCHEN HEIB is a well-known name to Trier`s Techno fans via his party series "Bombs out of Bass" and appearances at various events. International DJ elite is playing his records, which have been released on Cologne`s Kompakt imprint and its sub labels Kompakt/Extra, Speicher and Auftrieb, as well as on Munich`s Gigolo label of DJ Hell. With his blend of Cologne Minimal sounds, driving bass lines and a typical dose of Acid, Heib knows how to persuade any dance floor as a producer, as well as a DJ.


Trierer Technoliebhabern ist JOCHEN HEIB über seine Partyreihe „Bomben aus Bass" und Auftritte auf diversen Events bekannt. Die internationale DJ-Elite spielt seine Maxis, die auf dem Kölner Kompakt-Label und dessen Subabels Kompakt/Extra, Speicher und Auftrieb, sowie dem Münchner Gigolo-Label von DJ Hell erschienen sind. Mit seiner Mischung aus Kölner Minimal-Sound, knarzig-treibenden Basslines und einer für Heib typischen wohl portionierten Dosis Acid, weiß er nicht nur als Produzent, sondern auch als DJ jeden Floor zu überzeugen.

CLAUS BACHOR , SAVE THE ROBOTS founder and PSYCHO THRILL Cologne - mastermind is one of the German long-term House and Techno DJs at all, however not standing still yet: The Psycho Thrill label run by him has just turned 18 and Bachor is still doing bookings all over Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the United States and beyond. Due to his long-term contacts to the scene in Detroit and his journalistic involvement in the topic of Detroit Techno/Electro/House as an author/editor, he is being rated as an absolute expert for this subject. Without using the usual hype for trends, he has managed to gain a position as multi-communicator in the German Techno and House scene, in which he is always convincing as a DJ.


CLAUS BACHOR , SAVE THE ROBOTS Initiator und PSYCHO THRILL Cologne -Mastermind, ist zwar einer der dienstältesten deutschen House- und Techno-DJs überhaupt, aber dennoch kein bisschen leise: Das von ihm betriebene Psycho Thrill-Label wurde gerade 18 und Bachor spielt nach wie vor Bookings in der gesamten Republik, der Schweiz, Österreich, den USA und darüber hinaus. Aufgrund seiner langjährigen Kontakte nach Detroit und seiner auch als Buchautor betriebenen Auseinandersetzung mit dem Thema Detroit-Techno/Electro/House gilt er als absoluter Kenner dieses Metiers.  Auch ohne den üblichen Trendhype hat er sich eine Position als ein Multi-Kommunikator der deutschen Techno- und House-Szene erarbeitet, in der er immer wieder als DJ zu begeistern weiß.

CARSTEN RAUSCH  has not only shaped the Trier division of the SAVE THE ROBOTS brand significantly, but also played at every important Techno event in the Trier area and thus supported big names like André Galluzzi, Matthias Tanzmann, Marco Bailey and many more. His sets are dominated by Detroit, Chicago, Acid, House and the current Minimal Techno. As producer, he has released Vinyl and MP3s on labels such as VIVID, ACKER, AUTHENTIC MUSIC and also DEGU TECHNIQUE [Psycho Thrill Rec.]. 


CARSTEN RAUSCH  hat nicht nur das Trierer Abteilung  des SAVE THE ROBOTS-Format maßgeblich geprägt, sondern schon alle wichtigen Techno-Partyformate in der Trierer Region bespielt und dabei als Support für populäre Namen wie André Galuzzi, Matthias Tanzmann, Marco Bailey u.v.a. aufgespielt. Sein Sound ist von Detroit, Chicago, Acid, House und dem heutigen minimalen Techno geprägt.
